The Avalon body style consisted of a four door sedan. The only engine available for the Avalon was the 3.0L V6 and the only transmission available was the four speed automatic.
In the second generation, the major change that Toyota did with the Avalon was increase the overall size. Production on the second generation RAV4 started in 1999 for the model year 2000 of the Avalon. Toyota kept the engine and transmission options the same for the Avalon, which was the 3.0L V6 and the four speed automatic. The wheelbase was 107.1 inches, the overall length was just over 191.0 inches, the width was just over 71.0 inches and the height was just over 57.0 inches.
The third generation of the Toyota Avalon started production in 2004 for model year 2005. The Toyota Avalon saw an increase in engine option and the transmission options. The gasoline type engine included the new 3.5L V6. Transmissions included a five speed automatic and a six speed automatic.
The fourth generation of the Toyota Avalon saw a hybrid version in addition to the normal gasoline version. The body style still included the four door sedan and it was only assembled in Kentucky of the United States. Engines included a 2.5L inline four (hybrid) and a 3.5L V6 gasoline type.
