The first generation of the Hyundai Accent was assembled in Ulsan, South Korea, Egypt, Turkey, Botswana, Venezuela and Indonesia. Production lasted from 1994 to 2000 in South Korea, 1995 to 2006 in Egypt and 2002 to 2006 in China. The Accent is also called the Verna, Excel Pony, Bimantara Cakra, Kia Qianlima and Dodge Brisa. Hyundai offered 2 different transmissions in the Accent including a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual. The engines that were offered were a 1.3L I4 and two 1.5L I4’s.
The second generation of the Hyundai Accent was still assembled in Ulsan, South Korea, Egypt, Turkey, India Russia, Sudan, Iran and Indonesia. Production was changed somewhat and lasted from 1999 to 2005 in South Korea, 1999 to 2017 in India and 2001 to 2012 in Russia. The Accents only body styles available was a 4-door sedan, a 3-door hatchback and a 5-door hatchback. Hyundai offered 2 different transmissions in the Accent including a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual. The engines that were offered included a 1.3L I4, a 1.5L I4 and a 1.6L I4 gasoline and a 1.5L I3 diesel.
In the third generation, Hyundai decreased the amount of engines available in the Accent to just three. The engines include a 1.4L I4 and a 1.6L I4 gasoline and a 1.5L I4 diesel. The two available transmissions were unchanged.
The production years for the fourth generation Hyundai Accent lasted from 2010 to present and the model years lasted from 2011 to present. The Accents body styles was reduced to a 4-door sedan and a 5-door hatchback. The quantity of engines available increased to include two 1.4L I4 and two 1.6L I4 gasolines and a 1.4L I4 and a 1.6L I4 diesel. Hyundai added available transmissions to include a 4-speed and 6-speed automatic, a 5-spee and 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
